Beauty, Love, JusticE, and Truth
The painting itself is phenomenal and very few over the past few centuries have denied its Beauty. Like all painters, Leonardo sought to convey his message, in the most familiar and profound way possible. Beauty plays a large role int he image itself, but not at the events of the image.
'The Last Supper', contains all the looks of the outraged, the men that truly loved Jesus. Jesus had shown nothing but kindness and love, and the ripple effect had caused his disciples to become deeply concerned in his affairs. One could go as far to say that the picture revolves around Love, and the negative and hurt reaction that come with it.
Justice is a huge factor in the story behind 'The Last Supper'. The story in the bible that this mural was based on, in fact. Judas would betray Jesus to the Romans for meager profits, and then later end his own life. If one were to base the painting off of the story, then one could perhaps assume Justice hasn't much to do with the photo, but rather the lack thereof.

Personal Opinion
I thought that this piece of art was exceptional and remarkable, especially considering that it is a mural painted on a large wall. I can only imagine how magnificent it must look in person. The symbolism and (perceived) mystery behind the painting made it the more intriguing, and the simultaneous emotions really helped capture a moment very well. It is a perfect representation of the Jesus of the bible; when everyone was getting worked up over the statement that one among them would betray Christ, he himself remained calm and somewhat serene throughout the conflict. Another thing I liked about the painting was the attention paid to small details of the mural, most commendable of which would be the Mountains in the far background, through the doorway and beyond, as well as the clouds in the sky, even more difficult and time consuming to paint. All in all, I believe it is a great work of art, and Leonardo Da Vinci a Great painter.
